Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a maintenance technician for the night shift at Arnett Hospital. You will perform scheduled and dispatched maintenance on facility systems, troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety equipment, and coordinate with other departments to keep patient care spaces safe and functional.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and a valid Indiana driver’s license.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid Indiana driver’s license with proof of insurance preferred.
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, fire alarm/safety and air systems.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
Basic computer skills; healthcare codes knowledge preferred.
Minimum 2 years of relevant maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

Performs scheduled and non-scheduled preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
Responds to dispatched general maintenance service calls; troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety systems.
Maintains interior spaces, including walls, drywall, painting and touch-ups.
Keeps facilities clean, safe and in compliance with codes and safety standards.
Documents maintenance activities and reports findings as required.
Coordinates maintenance activities with other departments and services.
