Job summary

Universal Health Services' Rockford Center in Newark, DE is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct patient care to geriatric, adult, adolescent and child patients with psychiatric disorders on 8-hour shifts, including every other weekend and holidays.

The role involves monitoring patients, participating in treatment planning, assisting admission, orienting new patients, planning group therapy, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or similar experience with adults in a behavioral health setting, with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Two years of related experience preferred, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and mental illness understanding.
• CPR certification and Handle with Care training during orientation are required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor unit patients and complete rounds as assigned.
• Participate in treatment planning.
• Assist in the admission process.

Full-time Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) position available with 8-hour shifts, including every other weekend and holiday, floating units.

(A 2 WEEK ORIENTATION IS MANDATORY 8:30A- 5P)

Rockford Center is a 138-bed mental health facility located in Newark, DE, providing easy access to a full complement of inpatient and partial behavioral health programs for children and adolescents, adults, and older adults. Rockford is the only child inpatient behavioral health facility in DE, offers an experienced and tenured senior management team, and serves New Castle County and northern Maryland.

Qualifications
