Job summary

CBRE Maintenance Technician in McKinney, TX is responsible for the safe operation and upkeep of a large hospital campus, focusing on mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. You will respond to work orders, perform routine and preventive maintenance, and help ensure patient and staff comfort.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of maintenance experience, including basic plumbing/electrical tasks, and are able to lift heavy loads and work on site during the 1st shift.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of job-related experience preferred
• Proven maintenance experience in healthcare or institutional settings preferred
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in maintenance tasks
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing
• Unclog drains, repair leaks, replace valves
• Electrical maintenance: troubleshoot and reset breakers
• Replace light fixtures, paint, patch, and replace ceiling tiles
• Inspect equipment to ensure safety and code compliance
• Respond to work orders and emergencies promptly
• Track completion of work orders using established systems
• Assist with installation or modification of new building equipment
• Contribute to energy management by monitoring building systems
• Follow procedures and exchange information clearly
