Job summary

BARNS Barnesville Hospital is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform general maintenance, repair and inspection of hospital systems and equipment, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff. You will follow building practices, quality standards and regulatory requirements to keep systems operating reliably.

This 40-hour per week, non-exempt role supports the Facilities Engineering department in routine work orders, cost-saving initiatives, and on-the-job

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years in building maintenance preferred.
• Valid driver's license must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of repair and upkeep of building systems and equipment.
• Uses hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks.
• Inspects and repairs plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC components.
• Maintains safety procedures per OSHA, NFPA and NEC standards.
• Keeps documentation of services via time sheets and work orders.
• Responds to routine maintenance requests and trouble calls.
• Provides on-the-job training to junior technicians.
• Supports cost-saving maintenance practices within Facilities Engineering.
