Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Waco seeks a Director of Plant Operations to lead the hospital’s facilities, safety, and support services. The role ensures life-safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient operations across building systems and grounds.

Responsibilities include supervising EVS, security, grounds, and engineering, coordinating with vendors, and driving cost-effective improvements. Healthcare experience is preferred and CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Facilities Management; healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience supervising Plant Operations including EVS, Security, Grounds, Biomed, etc.
• Knowledge of facility buildings, equipment, and utilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent; engineering degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and oversee Plant Operations program including life safety and housekeeping.
• Inspect facility operations and maintain maintenance records; coordinate with corporate.
• Lead bid processes and coordinate repairs with external vendors.
• Supervise Plant Operations staff and ensure safe, compliant operations.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation training as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Life Safety Standards and prepare corrective action plans.
• Support construction/remodeling projects and ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with Environment of Care for hospital safety and housekeeping.
