Oceans Behavioral Hospital Abilene is seeking a Director of Plant Operations to lead the facility’s Plant Operations Department, focusing on the physical plant, safety, and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes coordination with corporate leadership and oversight of maintenance, housekeeping, and security programs.

Responsibilities include managing life safety, audits, and projects, delivering training, and ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining a safe environment for patients

Responsibilities

• Establishes and oversees the Plant Operations Program including facility maintenance, life safety, and housekeeping operations.
• Inspects facility operation and maintains maintenance records; collaborates with Corporate Plant Operations Director for audits and training.
• Leads bid processes and coordinates repairs/replacements with outside vendors under supervision of Corporate Plant Operations Director.
• Oversees day-to-day Plant Operations staff and ensures safe, compliant maintenance and repairs.
• Provides Crisis Intervention and De-escalation training; coordinates with Environment of Care Director as needed.
• Performs Life Safety Standards audits and coordinates plans of correction with Plant Operations and Environment of Care staff.
• Collaborates on construction/remodeling projects and ensures safety standards and cost-effectiveness.
• Works with Hospital Safety Officers and Leadership Team to maintain a safe environment and daily housekeeping.
• Assesses problems, develops solutions, seeks input, and pursues applicable certifications and continuing education.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
