Job summary

Haven Behavioral Healthcare, part of Oceans Healthcare, seeks a Director of Plant Operations to lead the facility's maintenance, safety, and ancillary systems in Phoenix. You will direct operations, ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and state regulations, and collaborate with executive leadership to promote a safe care environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include overseeing maintenance, life safety, and housekeeping programs; managing bids and external vendors; and

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in Facilities Management; healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience supervising a Plant Operations Department (EVS, Security, Grounds, Biomed, etc.).
• Knowledge of facility buildings, equipment, and utilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Engineering degree preferred.
• Must complete CPR certification and Oceans approved de-escalation program.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Plant Operations program including maintenance, life safety, and housekeeping.
• Inspects facility operations and maintains maintenance records.
• Lead bids and coordinate repairs with outside vendors.
• Supervise plant staff and ensure safety, cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate construction/remodeling projects and safety standards.
• Serve as Hospital Safety Officer and liaise with leadership.
• Pursues ongoing certifications and training for staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
