Job summary

Nicklaushealth is seeking a Maintenance/Facilities professional to perform routine checks and respond to maintenance requests across HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting and related trades within a hospital environment.

The role requires availability for on-call evenings and weekends, with a preference for candidates holding a Florida journeyman license. Strong English communication and safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License may be required depending on duties
• 3–5 years experience in electrician, plumbing, HVAC, painting, or related field
• 3–5 years experience in a trade under a licensed business
• Current journeyman, electrician, plumbing, HVAC, painting or related Florida license preferred
• High school education or equivalent preferred
• Available for on-call evenings and weekends
• Able to complete reports and work orders in English
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions to equipment failures

Responsibilities

• Performs daily routine maintenance building component checks including HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting and others
• Responds to department calls regarding problems affecting hospital environment and equipment
• Return work areas to clean, safe condition and dispose of waste appropriately
• Install basic items like shelves, desks, bulletin boards
• Inspect buildings to ensure safety and determine repair needs
• Prepare job estimates and order supplies; interact with contractors
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment (chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, generators)
• Enter information into maintenance system and document completed work orders
• Respond to HVAC calls and emergency situations as detailed in plans
