Job summary

Ottumwa Regional Health Center is seeking a Maintenance Worker to support hospital facilities, HVAC, electrical, and building systems. The role involves routine maintenance, repairs, and ensuring safe, efficient operation of the physical plant.

The candidate should have at least 2 years of hospital maintenance experience, High School diploma, and basic computer skills. The position typically operates Monday through Friday with on-site responsibilities and on-call rotation as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years' experience with maintenance preferably in a hospital setting.
• Familiarity with Joint Commission and other regulatory policies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report daily to the Director of Plant Operations regarding facility conditions and work in progress.
• Follow policies, procedures and standards for maintenance and repair of equipment and building systems.
• Assist in administering the maintenance program to ensure uninterrupted operation of the physical plant.
• Coordinate with departments and administration to plan priorities and material orders.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, alterations, and checks on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Assist in maintaining stock levels and ensuring energy management compliance.
