Job summary

Pscfl in the United States (Miami area) seeks a Maintenance/Facilities technician to perform daily routine maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting and related building trades in a hospital setting.

You will respond to calls from departments, assist in planning, complete reports and work orders in English, and be available for on-call evenings and weekends when required. A valid driver's license and 3–5 years of trade experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license may be required depending on job duties assigned.
• 3-5 years of experience as an electrician, plumber, HVAC service specialist, painter, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a trade under a licensed business.
• Available for on-call phone during evenings and weekend when assigned.
• Able to complete reports and work orders in English.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and building equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily routine maintenance building checks related to HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting and others.
• Responds to calls from departments regarding problems that affect the hospital environment and equipment.
• Meets quality service standards by returning work areas to a clean, neat, safe condition and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Performs basic building & installation of items such as shelves, desks, hanging picture frames and bulletin boards.
• Checks lighting, replaces bulbs and repairs flooring, doors, walls and ceiling tiles as needed.
• Responds to maintenance work orders and documents completed work.
• Inspects buildings to ensure safety and determine need for repair or maintenance.
• Assists in preparing job estimates, stocking supplies and dealing with contractors.
