Job summary

Valley View Medical Center in Fort Mohave, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure reliable facility operations. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance across equipment, systems and structures, install and repair machinery, and support safety-critical facilities.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least two years of institutional/commercial maintenance experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years' institutional/commercial maintenance experience is required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and/or electronic systems.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle stressful environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, systems and structures.
• Install, test, maintain, operate and repair machinery, and systems as scheduled or needed.
• Perform major and minor maintenance work.
• Perform utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or with tradespersons.
• Assist with inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire risers, sprinklers and extinguishers and other fire/safety equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance procedures on equipment and building systems.
• Move items within/between locations and from/to storage.
• Assemble and relocate furniture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
