Job summary

At Sodexo, the Domestic Facilities Coordinator will lead and support a team delivering cleaning and catering services in a busy hospital environment, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

You’ll monitor standards against national healthcare cleanliness benchmarks, coordinate scheduling, recruitment and training, and act as a key contact for ward managers and service users, promoting a Zero Harm culture.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supervising a team in a service-focused setting.
• Strong people-management and organisational skills, able to schedule and train staff.
• Clear polite professional communication style.
• Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, patients and service users.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of an efficient, high-quality domestic service.
• Monitor cleanliness against national standards and implement action plans.
• Act as key contact for Sodexo colleagues, ward managers and service users.
• Lead and support team through scheduling, communication, training and reviews.
• Manage absence processes and return-to-work discussions.
• Deploy resources to respond to urgent requests and cover shifts.
• Control cleaning materials, consumables and equipment to minimise waste.
• Build positive relationships with staff, patients and service users.
• Support recruitment and welcoming of new employees.
• Promote a Zero Harm culture and ensure incidents are investigated.
