Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Facilities Management Director for Baptist Hospital in Florida. You will oversee Plant Operations and Maintenance, lead budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance in a hospital setting.

The role requires engineering leadership, experience in healthcare facilities, and CMMS proficiency. A CHFM is preferred; the position offers a competitive salary and a 9% yearly director bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 2 years at Director level or 5 years at Director level in Engineering/maintenance/construction in a health care setting.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and transmit detailed instructions.
• Prior Facilities Management experience in an acute care hospital.
• Proficiency in CMMS, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• CHFM certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare facility systems and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Plant Operations & Maintenance departments within the hospital campus.
• Plan, prioritize, and control functions under the contract scope.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets including energy savings programs.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, State Health Dept, EPA, DEP, ADA, UST, and other regulations.
• Supervise staff and conduct performance evaluations.
• Coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, and suppliers for projects.
