Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English to follow directions and document tasks.
• Basic math skills for calculating supply usage and reordering.
• Experience with inventory counts and restocking processes.
• Positive, service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivers a clean environment by performing the seven step cleaning method throughout the BVHA's facilities.
• Cleans and sanitizes floors, medical equipment, and bed frames per procedures; may perform wall washings and window washing.
• Operates cleaning equipment; reports repairs to Service Response Center (SRC).
• Handles clean and soiled linens and disposables in designated locations.
• Disposes trash and waste using standard procedures.
• Provides excellent customer service with clear communication and professionalism.
• Performs data entry, basic computer tasks, and time management.
• Responds to identified emergency codes as a first responder.
• Maintains inventories, restocks, and replenishes supplies.
• Moves furniture, equipment and supplies safely using proper body mechanics.
• Submits departmental documentation within established timeframes.
• Participates in educational activities, in-services, and performance/process improvement initiatives.
