Job summary

Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center is seeking an Environmental Services worker to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment. You will perform daily housekeeping tasks, floor care, linen handling, and documentation in accordance with EVS policies and procedures.

The role requires reading, writing, and speaking English, basic mathematics for supply usage, and strong customer service skills. A High School diploma or GED is preferred, and incumbents may operate environmental service equipment

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English to follow oral and written directions and document completion or status of assignments.
• Knowledge of simple mathematics required for determining supply usage and time schedule reports.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers a clean environment following EVS policies and procedures.
• Performs hard floor care including stripping, waxing and buffing as assigned.
• Moves furniture, equipment and supplies safely.
• Distributes and handles clean and soiled linen as assigned.
• Completes department documentation within established time frames.
