Job summary

The Christ Hospital in Kentucky seeks an Environmental Services Staff member to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff. You will clean patient rooms daily, sanitize surfaces, manage spills, and follow infection control procedures.

You will interact with patients and visitors with a service mindset, follow confidentiality rules, and use NaviCare bed tracking and MS Office tools as needed. High school diploma preferred; one year of experience is optional.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: 1 year preferred, but not required.
• Skills: Basic reading, writing, and math; basic customer service.
• Certifications: CHEST within 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms daily using approved chemicals and procedures.
• Clean non-patient areas such as nurses’ stations, offices, waiting rooms and restrooms.
• Discharge rooms to prepare for new admissions.
• Interact with patients, visitors and staff with a service attitude.
• Leave daily notes with housekeeper’s name and department phone.
• Follow hospital confidentiality policies and complete annual safety tests.
• Learn NaviCare system to log bed tracking.
