Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington, KY, is hiring an Environmental Services Technician I for 2nd shift. No prior EVS experience is required; related background is welcome. You will clean patient rooms, offices, and common areas, disinfect surfaces, and support infection prevention to promote patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include room turnover, equipment maintenance, and documentation while collaborating with the team to deliver a welcoming environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; related experience is preferred.
• 1–2 years of Customer Service, Hospitality, and/or Environmental Services experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and maintain patient rooms, common areas, and equipment.
• Perform occupied, discharge, and transfer room cleaning.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and PPE protocols.
• Maintain cleaning equipment, carts, and supplies.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Attend department meetings, huddles, and team activities.
• Complete required documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist with training and mentoring new EVS team members.
• Perform specialty cleaning and other Environmental Services duties.
