Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health in Bismarck, ND, is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to keep hospital areas clean and sanitized to protect patients and staff.

You will use specialized equipment and follow biohazard disposal protocols while contributing to health equity and innovative care delivery. In this role you will perform routine cleaning, restock supplies, and sanitize patient rooms, ERs, and operating rooms per location procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and complete written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to measure chemicals accurately and safely.
• Ability to operate riding equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine cleaning and decluttering to hospital areas such as rooms and common spaces.
• Sanitize areas using approved tools and procedures, following location-specific guidelines.
• Restock supplies in patient areas and supply closets as needed.
• Follow proper disposal methods for medical waste and biohazards.
• Remain patient, kind and personable in interactions with patients and staff.
