Job summary

Shriner's Children's in Honolulu seeks an Environmental Services Tech to perform custodial and housekeeping duties across the medical center, ensuring cleanliness and safety in patient areas, dining spaces, and public zones.

You will lead basic cleaning tasks, handle cleaning tools, manage waste and PPE, and communicate inventory needs. A minimum of 1 year of healthcare environmental services experience is preferred, with a high school diploma or GED encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Performs custodial and housekeeping duties across the hospital to maintain cleanliness and appearance.
• Leads cleaning activities in assigned areas and uses cleaning tools safely.
• Manages waste handling, including medical, hazardous, and soiled linens with proper PPE.
• Performs floor care (stripping, mopping, buffing) and cleans patient/public restrooms per procedures.
• Participates in setting up/breaking down events and coordinates with facilities staff.
