Job summary

Shriners Children's in Hawaii, Honolulu, is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain cleanliness and safety across the medical center. You will operate cleaning tools, manage waste, and support infection control guidelines.

This role requires teamwork, ability to lift and move items, and basic computer use for inventory. Minimum 1 year hospital environmental services experience preferred; high school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year health-care environmental services experience.
• Able to use cleaning tools, equipment and understand chemical usage and storage.
• Must be physically able to stand, walk, lift, push, pull, bend and climb as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial and housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and appearance in patient and public areas.
• Lead cleaning activities in assigned areas and communicate inventory levels.
• Handle waste, hazardous materials and soiled linens following safety guidelines.
• Assist with setup/breakdown for meetings and events; respond to requests promptly.
