Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking an EVS Technician I for a full-time 1st shift in Environmental Services to clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, waiting areas and meeting rooms, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

This role performs daily cleaning and disinfection tasks, supports infection prevention efforts, and ensures timely room turnover to promote patient flow and quality care.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; however, related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and maintain patient rooms, common areas, and assigned equipment according to healthcare and infection prevention standards.
• Perform occupied, discharge, and transfer room cleaning to support patient safety and timely room turnover.
• Follow all infection prevention, safety, and PPE protocols while properly handling waste and hazardous materials.
• Maintain cleaning equipment, carts, and supplies in accordance with department standards.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Attend department meetings, huddles, and team activities to support patient experience and operational excellence.
