Job summary

The Maine Medical Center EVS Operations Manager partners with the Director of Environmental Services to lead the department, guiding managers and a 30+ staff. You will ensure training, resource allocation, and adherence to cleaning protocols across the hospital.

You'll mentor the management team, build strong relationships with nursing leadership and other departments, and document quality assurance activities to support patient safety and a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience supervising managers and a staff of 30+.
• Experience in managing multiple services preferred.
• Analytical skills to support department decisions.
• Ability to prepare reports using hospital software.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the Environmental Services Department.
• Ensure managers and supervisors have the knowledge and competency to oversee their areas.
• Mentor and support the management team in allocating staff, equipment and supplies.
• Maintain knowledge of cleaning procedures, project work and specialty cleaning.
• Build relationships with nursing leadership and other departments to communicate needs.
• Ensure the management team properly documents department quality assurance activities.
