Job summary

Natividad Medical Center is seeking Hospital Environmental Services Aide staff to help keep patient areas clean and sanitary within the Environmental Services Department. Under supervision, you will clean, maintain, and sanitize assigned areas and perform related tasks to support a safe hospital environment.

Responsibilities include waste handling, laundry transport, floor care, equipment disinfection, and assisting in room setup while observing safety and infection control policies.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in janitorial service or related work.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Ability to complete required online and classroom trainings.
• Knowledge of hospital cleaning protocols and safety.

Responsibilities

• Collect waste from hospital areas following infection control policies.
• Transport contaminated laundry to vendor collection site.
• Maintain a safe work environment and report hazards.
• Sweep, scrub, mop floors and operate floor buffers.
• Disinfect patient rooms and medical equipment as assigned.
• Move furniture and assist in meeting room setups.
• Respond to emergencies such as leaks or back-ups.
