Community Health Systems, Inc. in Sahuarita, AZ is seeking a PRN Environmental Services Worker I to support our Housekeeping team at Northwest Sahuarita Hospital, 16260 S Rancho Sahuarita Blvd.

The role performs cleaning, floor care, waste management, restocking, and safe handling of supplies while upholding infection control and HIPAA requirements. Shifts are varied to cover call outs, PTO, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of cleaning or environmental service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Excellent communication with staff, patients, and visitors.
• Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift or move objects.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other spaces per infection control standards.
• Maintains floors (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming) and surfaces.
• Performs cleaning and minor maintenance on hard and carpeted surfaces.
• Washes walls, windows, and other surfaces to maintain hygiene.
• Restocks supplies and monitors inventory in designated areas.
• Handles trash and waste safely, following safety protocols.
• Operates and maintains cleaning equipment and reports malfunctions.
• Assists with repairs or maintenance tasks and reports larger issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Follows all policies and standards.
