Job summary

Olivia Hospital & Clinic in Minnesota is seeking Environmental Services Technicians to maintain safe, sanitary surroundings in hospital and clinic settings. The role involves handling cleaning tasks and following OSHA-related protocols, with a casual on-call schedule and no set hours per pay period.

Responsibilities include carrying supplies, cleaning rooms and common areas, waste disposal, and complying with health standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to follow assigned work orders.
• Ability to work a variety of scheduled hours.
• Ability to work weekends and call-in hours.
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment day-to-day.
• Effective time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry linens, towels, toiletry items, and cleaning supplies using wheeled carts.
• Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
• Sort, count linens, and store them in linen closets.
• Clean rooms, hallways, waiting areas, restrooms, corridors, locker rooms, high touch areas and other assigned work areas so that applicable health standards are met.
• Dispose of trash or waste materials to appropriate disposal areas.
• Sweep, scrub, and vacuum floors using brooms, mops, and vacuums.
• Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork as necessary.
• Hang draperies and dust/wash window blinds as needed.
• Disinfect equipment, furniture, and supplies according to OHC standards.
• Move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses to effectively clean.
• Attend facility and department meetings as scheduled.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
