Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a full-time hospital housekeeping staff member to maintain cleanliness and provide a safe, sanitary environment for patients, visitors and staff in accordance with hospital, departmental and regulatory requirements. You will dispose of trash and biomedical waste, prepare patient rooms for occupancy after discharge, replace supplies as needed, and alert supervisors to potential safety hazards; perform other related duties as required.

Schedule: 6:30am-3:00pm.

Qualifications

• Six months housekeeping or maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Disposes of trash, biomedical and solid waste materials to appropriate disposal areas.
• Prepares patient rooms for occupancy after patients are discharged.
• Replaces supplies as needed.
• Alerts supervisor of potential problems and safety hazards.
• Performs other related duties as required and directed.
