Job summary

Novant Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to help maintain a clean and aseptic hospital environment, protecting patients, visitors, and staff. You will perform housekeeping duties across public areas, restrooms, patient rooms, and surgical suites, using approved disinfectants and proper safety protocols.

You should have a High School Diploma or GED and prior hospital or commercial housekeeping experience, with strong English reading, writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, preferred.
• Experience in hospital or commercial housekeeping preferred.
• English reading, writing, and verbal communication required.

Responsibilities

• Cleanliness of public areas twice per shift and maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Restroom sanitation and replenishment of dispensable items.
• Clean patient rooms and ancillary areas, disinfect surfaces, and prepare rooms for discharge.
• Clean surgical suites as applicable and manage waste segregation.
• Promote positive guest relations and professional communication with patients and staff.
