Shriners Children's in Portland, OR seeks an Environmental Services Tech II to maintain clean patient rooms, offices and hallways using standard infection control practices. Responsibilities include terminal cleaning in operating suites and daily upkeep of surgical support areas, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in Environmental Services and a High School Diploma or GED. Compensation is determined by experience within the department.

Competenze

• 1 year Environmental Services experience.

Mansioni

• Performs wet mopping of patient care areas, dusting furniture, and cleaning vents.
• Performs terminal cleaning in operating suites before and after procedures and at day end.
• Cleans and disinfects fixtures, equipment, floors, doors and walls with EPA-registered germicidal agent.
• Follows procedures for handling infectious materials per OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standard.
• Cleans patient transport vehicles and equipment with EPA-registered germicidal agent.
• Performs daily cleaning of surgical support areas (locker rooms, lounges, storage, preop holding, PACU, central sterile).
• Delivers linens according to par levels.
• Uses and maintains equipment properly.
• Communicates infection control issues to OR Director/EVS Supervisor
