Job summary

The Orthopedic Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Worker II to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will perform floor care, waste handling, linen management, and spill cleanup in line with infection control standards.

Responsibilities include sanitizing patient areas, reporting maintenance needs, and maintaining accurate cleaning logs. The role requires 1–3 years of related experience and a commitment to hospital policies and safety

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, and floor care.
• Ability to safely handle biohazardous and infectious waste.
• Familiarity with equipment cleaning and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs floor care tasks (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, shampooing) to maintain cleanliness.
• Collects, removes, and disposes of waste per policies and guidelines.
• Handles soiled linens, replaces with clean bags.
• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
• Responds to spills and contamination cleanups.
• Moves furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning or maintenance.
• Monitors cleaning supply usage and stores supplies safely.
• Communicates maintenance needs to supervisor or facilities.
• Maintains cleaning logs and documents tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with policies.
