Job summary

Carondelet St. Marys Hospital - part of Tenet Healthcare - seeks an Environmental Services/Housekeeping Associate to maintain a sanitary, neat, and safe hospital environment.

You will clean patient and public areas, stock supplies, and follow infection-control procedures while delivering strong customer service. Responsibilities include disinfecting surfaces, waste handling, floor care, and routine duties across multiple areas.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to prioritize work and provide good customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent with ability to read English.

Responsibilities

• Sanitizes all facility surfaces using a germicidal cleaner per manufacturer specs.
• Performs discharge cleaning and dust mopping of tile floors.
• Cleans bathrooms and stocks supplies in areas, carts, and supply rooms.
• Performs high dusting of ceiling vents and ledges over shoulder height.
• Dusts surfaces below shoulder height and cleans spots on walls/doors.
• Vacuuming of carpets, removing trash, and delivering linen.
• Maintains accurate records including discharges, linen weights, and sign-out sheets.
• Keeps cart and chemical supplies stored safely around patients and visitors.
• Performs terminal cleans as needed and supports other related tasks as assigned.
