Job summary

Northern California Behavioral Health System is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean and sanitary environment throughout the hospital. This role supports patient and non-patient areas and requires attention to safety policies and patient confidentiality.

The position involves replenishing supplies, managing records, and working independently or as part of a team. Prior hospital housekeeping experience is preferred, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic cleaning and housekeeping procedures.
• Reading, writing and math skills at elementary level.
• Basic English usage and hospital housekeeping practices.

Responsibilities

• Replenish restroom supplies and maintain records as directed.
• Cleans floors in patient and non-patient areas.
• Removes trash and waste from designated areas.
• Removes and replaces soiled linens from patient areas.
• Maintains facility and furnishings in clean, orderly fashion.
• Adheres to safety, security policies and procedures.
• Maintains up-to-date records on supplies.
• Provides good customer service and represents facility positively.
• Supports receptionist and covers duties as needed.
• Performs related duties as requested.
• Maintains confidentiality of patients and staff.
