Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking an Environmental Service Technician at Royal Oak Hospital. You will clean, disinfect, stock patient rooms and offices, and help maintain floors, carpets, and upholstery. You will work with the team to ensure continuous service and a positive environment, with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Preferred: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Public service or customer service experience in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial experience may be helpful.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and stock patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas according to procedures; remove linens and waste streams.
• Perform interim and restorative maintenance on hard floors, carpets, and upholstery.
• Assemble, maintain, and store equipment and supplies needed for tasks.
• Communicate and collaborate with teammates to ensure continuity of services.
• Assist visitors and employees in navigating the hospital and reaching destinations.
• May work across department sites for coverage and business needs.
• Participate in safety initiatives and complete required competencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
