Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh seeks a dependable cleaning associate to perform standardized cleaning in patient rooms, offices, departments and ancillary areas, following established procedures to support daily operations.

You will help ensure patient care continuity by cleaning discharge rooms, doing cycle cleanings, restocking dispensers, and assisting with emergency cleanups, while upholding safety rules and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• FIT testing may be required, but provided upon hire as needed.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic reading, writing and effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete standardized cleaning in patient rooms, offices, departments, and ancillary areas using the appropriate procedures.
• Perform timely patient room cleaning and provide cleaning support to departments; clean daily including discharge, cycle, office and ancillary area cleaning.
• Refill dispensers and collect all receptacles in required areas; perform exterior building cleaning.
• Complete project work such as wall washing, trash removal, biohazardous linens and sharps container removal; assist with hospital emergency clean up.
• Actively participate in Patient Satisfaction initiatives and uphold hospital safety standards.
