Baystate Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to perform comprehensive cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, corridors, and public areas across designated hospital spaces. duties include turnover cleaning for ED, OR, NICU, and other areas, with emphasis on safety, log-keeping, and adherence to Caring Values.

The role requires good interpersonal skills, the ability to follow scripts when interacting with patients, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Competenze

• GED or HiSET required.
• Demonstrated ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment with flexibility and teamwork.

• Greet patients and customers using scripting to ensure courteous interactions.
• Maintain flexibility, organization and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Work in a team environment with unit staff to complete duties.
• Adhere to health, safety, and attendance requirements.
• Follow departmental procedures and standard precautions when handling contaminated equipment and supplies.
• Conduct daily cleaning and terminal cleaning, maintain log books, and use UV-C disinfection technology.
• Clean and disinfect horizontal and vertical surfaces, equipment, and furniture.
• Remove waste and soiled linens per policy.
• Perform dusting and polishing of surfaces as required.
• Clean floors, baseboards, corners and edges daily.
• Change cubicle curtains as needed.
• Maintain pace in high intensity units; assist with specialty equipment cleaning.
