Job summary

Beacon Health System is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services associate to maintain a clean and sanitary hospital environment. The role emphasizes disinfection, careful linen handling, and safe operation of cleaning equipment to support a healing experience for patients.

Responsibilities include following established cleaning procedures, stocking supplies, and assisting with various tasks to keep patient areas orderly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Previous cleaning experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect hospital areas using proven methods.
• Clean occupied patient rooms following the 7-step process and unoccupied rooms following the 10-step process.
• Perform normal cleaning: dusting, surfaces, trash, linens, floors, beds, windows, restrooms.
• Stock supplies including paper goods, soaps, sanitizers, and cleaning tools.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Move furniture as needed.
• Hang drapes and shower curtains using a ladder when necessary.
• Collect and remove soiled linen and manage linen carts.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned.
