Job summary

GRMC Garrett Regional Medical Center in Oakland, MD is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to perform environmental services, cleaning patient rooms and public areas, and restocking supplies. The role requires reliability, attention to cleanliness, and ability to follow established cleaning procedures.

Shift patterns include hourly pay with overtime eligibility. The position offers a wage range of $15.00–$22.18 per hour and may include shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read and follow written work assignments.
• Good communication with guests.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and ensures that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair; report problems to the supervisor.
• Cleans patient rooms, exam rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, OR rooms, offices and equipment, following established procedures.
• Removes trash from all assigned areas.
• Replenishes paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations of assigned areas to assure adequate supply.
• Makes beds, following established cleaning procedures in all patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
• Maintains assigned equipment in clean, working condition, reporting problems and suggestions to the supervisor.
• Moves equipment, furniture, boxes, wash walls, spot carpets, etc. as assigned.
• Follows all safety and sanitation regulations.
