Job summary

Ochsner in Morgan City, LA seeks an Environmental Services team member to maintain clean, aseptic areas and assist with room turnover. You will manage closets/equipment, restock cafe areas as needed, and support special cleaning projects while complying with healthcare regulations.

The role requires basic English communication, ability to read/write, and the stamina to work in a healthcare environment with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak/understand verbal communication in English to follow instructions and daily tasks.
• Experience operating environmental services equipment (dust mop, wet mop, bucket, wringer, spray bottles, dustpan).
• Basic housekeeping knowledge and familiarity with cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and follow directions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintains assigned area in a clean and aseptic manner.
• Maintains Environmental closet and equipment in a clean, aseptic and orderly manner.
• Assists with restock of cafe and bar (where necessary).
• Assists with special cleaning projects and room turnover.
• Follows Joint Commission / CMS regulations pertaining to Environment of Care and Cleaning requirements.
