Job summary

Kirby Medical Center in Monticello, IL, is hiring an Environmental Services Technician for the Environmental Services department. This full-time role (36 hours weekly) runs Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm to 10:30 pm, with occasional weekend coverage.

Hourly pay $16.05-$18.43, depending on experience. You will clean operating room recovery rooms, GI procedure room, and surgery discharge areas, upholding infection prevention standards while maintaining a safe and orderly environment.

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge is required.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions.
• Strong time management and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of infection control and PPE usage.
• Attention to detail and cleaning standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean Operating Room recovery patient rooms, GI procedure room and Surgery Discharge rooms to maintain infection prevention standards.

Kirby Medical Center is looking for a dependable, outgoing , detail-oriented indidvidual to clean Operating Room recovery patient rooms, GI procedure room and Surgery Discharge rooms from Med/Surg area to maintain infection prevention standards.

Skills:

• Basic Computer knowledge is a must.
• The ablity to to understand and follow written or oral instructions.
• Good time management- must be able to work effectively alone and prioritize daily tasks, meet deadlines without sacrificing quaility.
• Have a deep understanding of infection control, safe chemical handling and proper use of PPE.
• Attention to detail- good eye for missed dust, streaks on glass and irregularities in a space's overall appearance.

Requirements

• One to three months related experience and/or training preferred.
• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
