Responsibilities

• Sets up, cleans, and returns cleaning cart and equipment.
• Cleans assigned area per procedures and guidelines.
• Removes trash and soiled linen; accesses medication rooms for cleaning.
• Monitors and replaces sharps containers.
• Thinks Safety, Acts Safely while performing tasks.
• Power scrubs/f buffs floors.
• Arranges furniture.
• Reviews unit needs for dismissals and transfers.
• Contains and removes contaminated items.
• Makes dismissal beds.
• Relays information over the phone and Vocera ensuring confidentiality.
• Replenishes supplies in assigned area.
• Documents dismissal room cleaning in Epic and personnel activities.
• Unloads and sorts linen carts.
• Stocks shelves and linen inventory.
• Assists with linen ordering and deliveries.
• Maintains a clean, orderly workspace.
• Monitors linen and trash chute collections.
• Transports infectious and confidential waste safely.
• Decontaminates/steams trash containers.
• Wears protective equipment as required.
• Supports improvement initiatives.
• Responds to emergencies per policies; reports safety concerns.
• Uses tablets for linen inventory management.
• Accesses restricted areas for assigned work.
• Pursues professional growth through seminars and workshops.
• Participates in meetings and department projects.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
