Job summary

Kearney-County-Health-Services is hiring an Environmental Services Tech to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients across hospital and clinic areas in Nebraska. The role requires cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing in operating rooms, patient rooms, hallways, and public spaces, with daily/weekly/monthly tasks and adherence to infection control policies.

Responsibilities include safe use of cleaning chemicals, stocking supplies, and completing work orders.

Qualifications

• None required
• Must be 16 years or older to apply
• CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks of the facility including the hospital, clinic, public patient areas, and office areas
• Ensure the Operating Room/Surgical Suite is sterile and safe by cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing OR tables, equipment, and floors between surgeries and at end of day
• Keep all areas (offices, patient rooms, clinic rooms, ER, bathrooms, and hallways) dust free, clean, and sanitized
• Keep all floors clean and in good condition; sweep, mop, wax, vacuum and shampoo
• Maintain soap and paper towel dispensers clean, sanitized and stocked
• Follow proper procedure and submit work orders for repairs as needed
• Handle bio-hazardous waste according to regulations
• Follow infection control, safety, and risk management policies
