Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking an Environmental Services staff member for the Main Hospital Building, 1st Floor. The role focuses on sanitation, cleanliness, and safety for hospital units and external customers in a timely manner.

You will follow oral and written directions, demonstrate sanitation techniques, and learn department cleaning methods within 90 days. Interactions with patients, visitors, and Parkland staff are essential to maintain service quality.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow both oral and written directions.
• Must be able to demonstrate sanitation techniques, and the use of cleaning materials; or be able to learn the department's techniques within ninety days.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas to assure the optimal clean, sanitary and safe environment for internal/external customers.
• Harmoniously works with patients, visitors, hospital and Parkland staff to promote customer service.
• Maintains and cares for cleaning materials and notifies supervisor when supplies or repairs are needed.
• Uses bed tracking system to ensure rooms are cleaned promptly after patient discharge.
