Job summary

Lexington Health is seeking an Environmental Services professional for the Day Shift (8:00AM-4:30PM) in Columbia, SC. This role performs cleaning tasks to maintain a healthy, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients, visitors, and staff, following local, state, and federal requirements.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, laundry support, waste handling, and stocking supplies across hospital areas such as Surgery, Patient Units, ED and administrative spaces.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, understand, and carry out written guidelines, procedures and other material.
• Must be able to interpret and follow labeled direction associated with use of cleaning products and other items.
• Must be able to comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions and requests in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Performs full range cleaning tasks in area of assignment per departmental procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness and order of work area including washers and dryers.
• Performs cleaning duties in hospital areas such as Surgery, Patient Units, Emergency Department and Administrative Areas.
