Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous hospital/commercial housekeeping experience preferred.
• Good communication skills and professional telephone etiquette are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and aseptic environment for patients, visitors, physicians and coworkers by performing housekeeping duties.
• Perform waste removal, dusting, cleaning and sanitizing of fixtures and surfaces; dusting and damp mopping; biohazard spill cleanup; soiled linen removal; making beds and vacuuming.
• Use computers for computer-based training, data collection and routine room turnover operations.
• Keep records, maintain logs and submit daily activity.
• Report via schedule worksheets and/or task sequence sheets.
• Adhere to hospital and departmental policies and procedures; follow applicable regulatory agency laws.
• Change drapes and cubicle curtains; operate floor and carpet care equipment; perform routine floor and carpet care procedures.
• Remove bulk biohazard and solid waste; perform other duties as assigned.
