UMC Health System seeks an Environmental Service Worker to support infection control by delivering thorough cleaning and sanitation throughout the hospital and assigned site campuses. The role reports to the Supervisor, Environmental Services.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, public areas, isolation rooms, waste handling, linen delivery, and maintaining orderly utility rooms, with emphasis on safety and adherence to infection control standards.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year housekeeping, linen, or other environmental service experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and operating equipment after successful completion of 90 day training.

Responsabilidades

• Provide housekeeping services in patient rooms, occupied or unoccupied, within the hospital and site campuses; may involve exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
• Clean public areas: vacuuming, baseboards, vents, fans, elevators.
• Clean and disinfect isolation rooms (TB, C-Diff, COVID-19), bathrooms, waste disposal, and related equipment.
• Exchange full sharp boxes for empties; deliver clean linen exchange carts to storage areas.
• Perform other Environmental Services duties as assigned.
