You will perform a wide range of housekeeping and sanitation duties to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, working closely with the Environmental Services Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience in environmental services or housekeeping, preferably healthcare.
• Certification in Infection Control (CBIC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms, public areas, and staff workspaces per hospital protocols.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces to prevent infections.
• Maintain organized carts with cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Follow infection control guidelines and isolation procedures as needed.
• Report safety hazards or infection control breaches to supervisor.
• Safely collect, transport, and dispose of medical waste and trash in accordance with policy.
• Monitor and replace biohazard and sharps containers as required.
• Assist in training new Environmental Services Technicians.
