Job summary

You will follow hospital cleaning protocols, disinfect high-touch surfaces, and cooperate with the Environmental Services Supervisor to support patient and staff well-being.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, about one year of environmental services experience,

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in environmental services or healthcare housekeeping.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CIC certification preferred and helpful for role.
• Ability to follow infection control guidelines and hospital protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms, public areas, and staff workspaces following hospital cleaning protocols.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces to prevent the spread of infections.
• Maintain an organized cart with cleaning supplies and ensure stock is replenished.
• Adhere to infection control guidelines to minimize healthcare-associated infections.
• Follow isolation procedures when cleaning rooms of contagious patients.
• Report safety hazards and equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Safely collect, transport, and dispose of medical waste and trash per policies.
