Job summary

WellSpan Surgery and Rehab Hospital/Apple Hill Campus in York, PA is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Aide for the 5:00pm-1:30am shift to clean patient rooms, offices and hospital areas. Starting pay is $18.00+ per hour with experience.

Responsibilities include disinfecting fixtures, floors and bathrooms; dusting and polishing; waste removal; stocking rooms for admissions; and assisting in room turnover while following isolation procedures when assigned to patient care units.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, understand and speak English.
• Less than 1 year relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways and other areas.
• Disinfects fixtures, floors, bathrooms and walls; cleans and polishes fixtures.
• Dusts furniture and equipment; mops and cleans high areas with a ladder as needed.
• Removes trash and soiled linens; ensures rooms are stocked for admissions.
• Supports patient-care units by assisting with terminal cleaning and isolation procedures when required.
