Job summary

Trinity Health in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Hospital Environmental Services Technician for the evening shift. You will clean and service internal and external hospital premises to maintain a sanitary, attractive, and orderly environment according to a scheduled shift.

The role requires maintaining aseptic conditions, using vacuum and cleaning supplies, logging activities, and adhering to Trinity Health’s policies and mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred or high school equivalency.
• Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in daily work.
• Maintain clean, aseptic conditions in assigned area by vacuuming, scouring, dust mopping, high dusting, making beds, removing trash/linen, washing walls and ceilings.
• Using vacuum and materials effectively in daily work.
• Use detergents, germicides or other supplies as recommended and follow safety handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean and neat station, cart, closet and equipment.
• Report needed equipment repairs to the Supervisor.
• Log activities throughout work shift and complete required paperwork at end of shift.
• Collect soiled linen or distribute clean linen as needed.
• Follow policies and procedures to ensure ethical and professional behavior.
• Travel to various Trinity Health sites as needed.
