Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment for patients and staff. You will clean, disinfect, and service areas, manage waste and linen, and support infection prevention and safety standards throughout the facility.

The role requires good reading/writing, confidentiality, and strong customer service and teamwork. Daily duties include replenishing supplies, operating devices, and adhering to PPE guidelines in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
• Ability to use smartphones and mobile devices for assignments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient rooms, offices, public spaces, and ancillary hospital areas in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Disinfect and service isolation rooms according to infection control policies.
• Collect and remove trash and soiled linen from assigned areas.
• Replenish supplies throughout the hospital.
• Log into required applications and ensure devices are operational.
• Report safety hazards and equipment issues to leadership.
• Provide courteous, patient-focused service.
