Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System is seeking a supervisor for Environmental Services to oversee daily operations, staff development, and compliance with cleaning and disinfection standards in a hospital setting.

You will lead scheduling, training, and quality initiatives to support patient safety and experience, coordinating with other departments and management to sustain high service levels.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in Environmental Services (or) at least 1 year of Environmental Services at NCHS

Responsibilities

• Supervises resources for Environmental Services and makes recommendations on hiring, promotions and staff performance reviews.
• Attends meetings and training sessions and leads sessions in the manager's absence.
• Establishes and reviews standard operating procedures for staff.
• Orients, trains, coaches, and supervises EVS staff under scope including room cleans, floor care, waste, and linen management.
• Plans and executes work schedules to ensure adequate EVS services across hospital areas.
• Performs daily rounds, inspects facilities, and reports safety hazards and defects.
• Ensures proper timekeeping, uniforms, attendance, and adherence to guidelines.
• Participates in QA programs to improve patient experience and cleanliness scores.
